    Completely agree. I did however like his use of analogy, with China invading the US, during the debate tonight. You’re right though that it will take too long for people to catch on to the message and take the time to research the subject for themselves.

    It’s issue by issue.There was no official legislative declaration of war, so consequently, as chief executive he can summarily end any military action. Congress did authorize the war, but they did not declare it.I suspect on all other institutions though, his administration would target them strategically, but most of the gutting would happen quietly to the institutions that lack corporate lobbyists or political capital. You can bet that the institutions responsible for the worst abuses will have the most reserves upon which to draw.Our increasingly presidentialist system relies on a lot of invisible institutions. Parties are national in nature, which means that most of the executive branches from the fed, to the state and even the municipal levels operate with a high degree of concurrency. A constitutionalist would have a hard time immediately brigading support within the GOP on a national scale, although since both major parties are top-down in nature, it would have a lasting effect. Most current state governments don’t even desire the power that is rightfully theirs. They prefer political privilege without responsibility.
