Jets make fans happy, take DE Vernon Gholston with 6th pick
By DENNIS WASZAK Jr. – 7 hours ago
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) — Vernon Gholston heard the crowd chanting his name while the New York Jets were on the clock, deliberating over their first-round draft selection.
A few minutes later, the notoriously critical Jets fans welcomed the Ohio State defensive end to their team with satisfied cheers.
“It was crazy,” Gholston said with a smile Saturday night at the Jets’ headquarters, a few hours after being selected with the No. 6 overall pick. “When they got to the sixth pick and I was still on the board, they started chanting my name and everything. I guess they anticipated it.”
And, the Jets hope Gholston will further improve their pass rush in a big way. The speedy and powerful defensive end is expected to play outside linebacker in New York’s 3-4 defense, which registered just 29 sacks last season.
The 6-foot-4, 264-pound Gholston set an Ohio State record with 14 sacks last season despite facing double teams regularly. In the 3-4, he’ll be asked to stand up as a linebacker more after playing mostly from a three-point stance in college.
“That’s something I’ve done at Ohio State,” said Gholston, wearing a gray, pinstriped suit and a green and white Jets cap. “I’m pretty sure I won’t have problems with it.”
The Jets added another first-round selection when they traded their second-round pick and a fourth-rounder (No. 113) to Green Bay for the No. 30 pick. The fans who cheered a few hours earlier for Gholston at Radio City Music Hall booed loudly when New York took Purdue tight end Dustin Keller, thinking the Jets might take a wide receiver or quarterback.
“I think it’s going to be a really good fit,” Keller said during a conference call from a suite in the press box at Purdue’s Ross-Ade Stadium.

Now, if I have a “friend” with a very clear history of abandoning ” friends”, and I more or less totally depend on their support, what am I going to be doing to try to make “sure” that it doesn’t happen to me ? Isreal is so much beetter at this game than we are, but in the end it will all be naught for both of us. In fact, it already is.

This guy needs to go down, and go down for a long time. He has a history of spying for Israel and has been involved in more than one espionage scandal. The Israeli people are great, but the Israeli government is no friend of the American people. They are friends to the American elite eastern establishiment neocon fascist assholes - whom they give dual citizenship to and pay off and do all kinds of shady ass things for. There are so many reasons why the Israeli government should not be trusted; they undertake terrorist and false flag attacks; read aboutthe USS Liberty if you want to get *****……And the Israeli “Art Students” who had rented out a floor or part of a floor in the WTC and were carrying stuff in and out in the weeke before the atacks and (if I remember correctly) ended up leaving just before the attacks….Mossad.

I think America has it’s own problems in office of the United States. The fact that 9/11 happened against all odds should wake Americans up. The middle East is being manipulated by the American Government. It takes attention from what is happening in the USA. Our boarders our free speech with HR 1955 and the treason by those we elected to office. The greatest country in the world is being manipulated into a self dist ruction mode from the top down. The nation that produced the most in WW2 is a rich 3rd world country that has to depend on other countries for our goods. Think about that! Instead of free trade we have controlled trade where it all goes away from America and none to America. Industry labor andsecurity have been eliminated from America–in the name of free trade. Why worry about Israel.

Giving weapons secrets to Israel is Illegal? But the United States Government has been doing it since the end of WW2…
