I thought deformations in RF were only in pre-determined spots? Anyways, modern AI could use a dedicated card as well, methinks :)

Have you played Red Faction? The terrain was deformable quite a bit... It was awesome using cheats for explosives to dig a tunnel to the backside of the enemy room... now if only the AI had been able to notice the loud booms from said tunneling...

Up until now, accelerated physics could ONLY be used for eye candy. Hopefully in a few years, if these chips become standardized (or processing power on the GCPU becomes up to the task), developers can become more confident in having physics of this kind affecting gameplay. That being said, I really don't anticipate a game where a "physics chip" is mandatory and changes gameplay, until the next generation of consoles. Consoles drive the dev cycle and also you have to be SURE everyone in your target market has full capability if you're going to change gameplay. It won't be like graphics where you can "tone it down" and not effect the game.EDIT: hey the guys voting me down for this comment, wtf

If you mean the way that he has stylized himself, then, I will buy that. I think that he has done a fine job of creating his image in the media by making documentaries that make light of the real issues by mixing them with gross untruths. Granted his connection to Kerry and Gore were created by others, but his connection to them was a factor in their downfall.
