Do you have seven minutes a day to change your life? When you use the bathroom, what do you read? Readers of THE MAXWELL WINSTON STONE SERIES are discovering that spending just five … or seven minutes a day, depending upon bodily timing, reading while on the john greatly improved their lives.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 10, 2008 — The topics for this life-changing fifteen books series came to the author in a most enigmatic way. He loves to read quotes and reads them by the thousands. One day, while reading another book on quotes, it was as if the clouds parted and he was able to glimpse … to see that there were recurring themes being written about by every generation. Tracing this idea back 2500 years to the time of Plato, he discovered fifteen of these recurring themes.
A fascinating insight arose — where each generation had their "aha" moment and wrote about these solid truths, it became obvious that they believed they were the first to discover them. They simply had no idea that generations before them had already discovered these gems. Two vital questions then evolved: What if these invaluable secrets of living could be incorporated into the lives of not only our current generation, but also for all future generations? And, could this contribute to literally raising the consciousness of our world?
At only $10 each, the books are a fast read … thus the perfect bathroom book. The author chose this streamlined form. Rather than writing a 259 — 300 page book utilizing the same thought-provoking quotes and enlightening stories, he provides the same priceless information in concentrated dosages. The books have just broken into the international market and will soon be published in four foreign languages.
Steve Spurrier, Head Football Coach at the Univ. of South Carolina wrote: "Thank you very much for the book on 'Attitude'. It was 100% good stuff that we all need to absorb and live."

Today is a day to celebrate mothers. We think about all the things mothers do for us and our families. Our mothers provide us with comfort, warmth, food, clothing, a place to call home.
Our mothers are not the only ones that take care of us. Remember, our Earth has provided many of these same things that make our lives more comfortable and meaningful.
What have you done for the mothers in your life? On Mother’s Day, my dad was famous for gifts that would lessen my mother’s workload. A sewing machine, a new washing machine and a riding lawn mower come to mind. As you enjoy the day and spend time with family, take a few minutes to think of ways you can honor moms and Mother Earth.
Green is more than just a color now. It is a term used to represent a new way to live, work and play that lessens the workload or impact on our Mother Earth. Sustainability, living today in a way that will allow us to continue to provide for the needs of future generations, has been a buzz word. But now folks are understanding how our quality of life depends on it.
We can live green and make a difference without sacrificing how we behave. We can make choices at the cash register by making choices in the products we buy. Informed consumers are changing the ways that businesses market themselves.
Green choices are not just good for the environment. They can save us money. High gas prices have resulted in increased costs of power, food and goods and services including our entertainment. Home buyers are shopping for homes closer to where they work so they don’t spend so much on fuel.
The price is only one part of a purchase decision. Now, we also are looking more closely at the maintenance costs. Car shoppers are reading the miles-per-gallon labels as much as the bottom-line price so they can get farther on a gallon of gas. Appliance shoppers are using the yellow-and-black energy-guide labels to see how much it will cost to operate a new washing machine, television or refrigerator.

Always nervous about taking a turn in the past, 5-year-old Juanito Palma gathered up his courage on Sunday afternoon to take stick in hand and swing at Spongebob Square Pants — the piñata, not the cartoon character.
The family-friendly piñata event at Tacos Lupe was part of the first Cinco de Mayo celebration, which was sponsored by the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce and the Latino Business Group of Worthington.
“We have had a very good turnout,” said Adolfo Avila, president of the Latino Business Group. “(People) have been coming in and out.”
Michael Herrera, 5 of Watertown, S.D., rises to his tiptoes to take a swing at the pi?ata during the Cinco de Mayo family celebration Sunday afternoon at Taco Lupes in Worthington. The event was well attended by the local community.
Because it was the first time such an event had been planned, organizers weren’t sure what kind of response they would get from the community. But one hour into the piñata pounding, five out of the six piñatas had given up the goodies.
“These kids are getting good,” Avila commented, watching the merriment. “We might have to get more (piñatas).”
Having so many businesses sponsoring the event would make that task easier, he added. They could just go to one of the stores and grab another.
While Juanito swung at a weary-looking Spongebob, his mother Anisabel watched with a smile, holding her niece on her lap.
“He just never wanted to hit it before,” she explained. “He was always afraid.”
As poor Spongebob started to lose a leg, the kids pressed forward in anticipation of the treats that would fall from his bright yellow form. The giggles and gales of laughter from the children were contagious, even when one of the organizers pointed a small air horn near the feet of the children in a circle around the piñata and let go a blast of sound in an effort to keep them away from the swinging stick. He encouraged them to stay back, but as Bob gave up his treasures, the kids surged forward with delight.
