Bats Come Alive As Baseball Batters Northwestern State, 18-11

NEW ORLEANS, La. - There is an old saying in baseball that hitting is contagious.
In Wednesday afternoon’s ballgame between Tulane and Northwestern State, it was an outright epidemic as the Green Wave pounded out a season-best 23 hits to defeat the Demons, 18-11, at the new Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
Freshman third baseman Rob Segedin tied a school single-game record by going 6-for-6 with a home run, a double and six RBI. Not to be out-done, junior left fielder Anthony Scelfo went 5-for-6 with a homer and junior designated hitter Andrew Rodgers went 3-for-3 with two homers and five RBI.
“It was just one of those things were we started having good at-bats early, guys built on each other and we had a great day,” Tulane associate head coach Mark Kingston said. “(UC) Irvine’s pitching was so good (last weekend), that when you come back and you get through that, you’re guys are better as a result.
“Irvine’s ERA was a 1.13 and we had to battle. But I think we are better hitters because of it and I think that showed last night. Even though we had nine hits (on Tuesday), we could easily have had probably 15. Having 23 again today, I think you’re starting to see the residual effects of playing good teams that have very good pitching early in the season.”

Gene Keady's Giant Head Is Rated TV-14

Isn’t the Big 10 tourney at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indy?
His head is freakish in real life too. I’ll never forget posing for my picture with Coach Keady the first time I attended his camp. He took one look at me and said, “You must be Doc’s grandson!” Then he told the photog to take two pics with me.
Excuse me, it just got a little dusty in here.
I don’t want to talk about it. Stoopid Illini.
The magical combover of Gene Keady. How I have missed the.
Jesus, Nibbles, I’m not in the mood. 3 people shouldn’t kill a bottle of Jose and a 12 pack and then say, “you know what we need? More booze”.
The SEC tourney had a tornado.
Your move, Big 10.
Illinois keeps torturing me. Everyday, I’m sure that this will be the last game they play this season. And then they win.
Fuck shit piss.
There, now can I see the comments?
@BigTenObsession:I assumed the Illini loss. I didn’t even look for a score. I was shocked this morning when I saw it.
@J-No: They still can’t make a free throw to save their life. Fortunately for them Purdue was just bad at basketball in the overtime. Bad defense (three backdoor layups for Illinois) and they didn’t make a single field goal in the OT either, so Illinois’ FT brickfest didn’t hurt them.

State Of Nj

EDISON - A survey of home sales in New Jersey in 2007 for the state Realtors association shows a slower market than the rest of the nation but by no means a dire one.
The median amount of time a house was on the market before selling, with half taking longer and half shorter, was 10 weeks in New Jersey and seven weeks in the nation as a whole. For the Northeast region, the median sales time was eight weeks.
In New Jersey, 23 percent of houses took 17 weeks or more to sell, similar to the nationwide figure of 24 percent.
The typical house sale in the state last year was for 95 percent of the listing price, according to the survey for the New Jersey Association of Realtors by the National Association of Realtors.
Nationwide, the typical house sale was for 97 percent of the listing price, which the survey said was more typical of recent sales in New Jersey as well.
In New Jersey, 14 percent of sellers got less than 90 percent of their listing price and 26 percent got 90 to 94 percent. For the U.S., 12 percent got less than 90 percent and 17 percent received 90 to 94 percent.
Eight percent of sellers received more than their house’s listing price last year in New Jersey, compared to 7 percent nationwide.
The survey said that 37 percent of New Jersey sellers did not reduce the asking price of their homes before they sold.
